1、Do you often celebrate festivals in your culture/ country?

Of course, we do. Just take Spring Festival for example. All the family members would come together, and have a little talk, play a little game, and have a lot of fun. Not only do people celebrate the Spring Festival, but also many other festivals, like the Lantern Festival, the Dragon-Boat Festival, etc.

2、Do these festivals have special meanings?

Yeah, undoubtedly. Festivals in China always exist for a reason. Sometimes, they may be celebrated as a memorial to the ancient great people, or seen as a way to make a new wish for the New Year. Whatever it is, festivals are always one of the most important things in my country.

3、Are there any festivals special to your city or region?

As you may have already known, the most special festival in China is the Spring Festival. During the Spring Festival, people do a lot of things. For example, they clean up their houses, they make dumplings, and they give the red-pocket money. The Spring Festival for Chinese people is the most important one among all of these.

4、What special things do people do during festivals?

Thanks to the fruits of the ancient Chinese inventions, most people here, especially those children, do enjoy playing fireworks. Though it's a little bit dangerous, people would not get hurt as long as they follow the right steps. The fireworks lighting up the sky, children screaming around, adults clapping their hands, these are all those beautiful moments of the year.

5、Which is your favourite festival?

Well, I got to say, uh, I, uh, do like the Valentine's Day. In middle school and high school, I didn't have a girl friend, but I still went out with my male friends, of course , bachelors, to celebrate the day, hoping that we might find our love someday. And when I finally got a girlfriend, I always wanted the Valentine's Day to be romantic. No matter whether I have a girlfriend or not, I just think the Valentine's Day is a perfect day to hang out with friends and have a lot of talks.

6、Do you celebrate any foreign festivals?

Yeah, we do. You know how the globalization has affected the whole world , festivals from different countries seem to be universal. In recent years, people in China are starting to celebrate the Christmas Day , maybe because they really think it's a good excuse to have a day-off, or maybe not. Anyway, celebrating festivals is always happy.
